Terms of Service
Last updated: September 17, 2026
By using ImageForge you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What ImageForge is
ImageForge is a free, open-source, browser-based image editor. It provides layers, filters, brushes, selection tools and export to common formats (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, SVG and others).
It is provided for general use and is not:
- a professional photo retouching service
- a cloud storage or backup service
- a collaboration or multi-user platform
- a certified tool for medical, legal or archival imaging
2. No warranty
ImageForge is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Back up anything you care about. Your work lives in browser memory. Closing the tab, crashing the browser, clearing site data or a power cut can lose it. ImageForge does not keep a copy and cannot recover it for you.
3. Your content and your responsibility
You keep full ownership of everything you create or edit with ImageForge. Because files never reach our servers, we have no claim to them and no ability to access them.
You are responsible for:
- having the right to use, modify and redistribute any image you open here
- respecting copyright, trademark and licensing terms of third-party assets
- respecting privacy and publicity rights of people depicted in images
- complying with the laws that apply where you are
Do not use ImageForge to create or distribute unlawful material, malware, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service
- use automated tools to scrape, mirror or hammer the site
- inject malicious code or exploit vulnerabilities
- impersonate the ImageForge project or misrepresent your relationship to it
5. Intellectual property
The software
ImageForge is open source, released under the MIT License, and built on
miniPaint
(also MIT). You may use, copy, modify and distribute the software under those terms.
The full text is in MIT-LICENSE.txt in the repository.
The brand
The ImageForge name and logo are not covered by the MIT grant. Do not use them to imply endorsement of your own product or service.
Third-party marks
Product names mentioned in these pages (Google, Cloudflare, Adobe Photoshop and others) belong to their respective owners and appear for identification and comparison only.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the ImageForge project and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the service.
This includes, without limitation, loss of unsaved work, incorrect rendering of a file, and any decision you make based on output produced by the editor.
7. Availability
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. Our hosting provider may also experience outages or maintenance windows. We are not liable for resulting unavailability.
8. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The date at the top reflects the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
