Privacy Policy

ImageForge is a free image editor that runs entirely in your browser. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it — and, more importantly, what does not.
The short version: your images never leave your device. There is no upload, no account, no server-side storage. Editing happens in your browser's memory; exporting writes the file back to your own disk.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
None. ImageForge has no sign-up, no login, no comment form and no contact form. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number, so we cannot collect them.
Your images and files
Files you open are read into your browser's memory using the File API. They are not uploaded to any server, because there is no code path that would do so. When you export, the browser generates the file locally and downloads it to your device.
Two features do make outbound requests, and only when you explicitly use them:
- Open from URL — fetches the image you typed in. The host serving that image will see a request from your IP address.
- Stock photo search — queries a third-party image API. It receives your search term and your IP address, no account data.
Information collected automatically
Like any website, our host (Cloudflare Pages) records standard access logs for security and troubleshooting. These typically include:
- IP address
- Browser type and version, operating system
- Timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status code
- Referring page, if your browser sends one
This is baseline operational data, used to detect abuse and diagnose outages. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is not sold or shared with advertisers.
2. Local storage
ImageForge stores a small amount of data in your browser:

All of it stays on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it permanently and simply resets the editor to defaults.
3. Cookies
ImageForge does not set any cookies of its own.
If advertising (Google AdSense) or analytics (Google Analytics) is enabled in the future, those third parties may set their own cookies. This page will be updated before that happens, and a notice will be shown on first visit.
4. Third-party services
- Cloudflare Pages — hosting, CDN, HTTPS and DDoS protection. Cloudflare sits in front of every request and therefore sees it. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts (if enabled) — font delivery. Requests carry your IP and user agent to Google. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Stock photo provider — only when you use the built-in search.
The editor itself, all stylesheets and all scripts are self-hosted. No third-party analytics or tracking script is loaded.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
ImageForge currently shows no ads.
If AdSense is added later, the following will apply:
- Google and its partners use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Google Ads Settings, aboutads.info or NAI.
- Opting out does not remove ads — it stops them being tailored to your interests.
Ad revenue, if any, pays for hosting and domains. It will never influence how the editor behaves or what this documentation says.
6. Data retention

7. Your rights
Under applicable data protection law (GDPR, CCPA and similar) you have the right to know what is processed, access a copy, request correction or deletion, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent.
Because ImageForge holds no account for you and no database of personal data, most of these you can exercise directly by clearing your browser storage. If you need our help, use the contact page.
8. Children's privacy
ImageForge is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. External links
Some pages link to external sites. Once you leave ImageForge we cannot control the destination, and we are not responsible for its content or privacy practices.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as features change. The date at the top always reflects the latest revision. Material changes — such as adding advertising or analytics — will be highlighted in the app as well.
